Who we are
mexico-impt.com is an independent travel guide to Mexico: its regions, its things to do, practical guides and a journal, from Mexico City and Oaxaca to Yucatán, the Riviera Maya and Baja California. It is published by IMPT Travel and belongs to the IMPT family of travel sites. A local IMPT partner looks after the Mexico edition.
We pay our own way and nobody buys a placement. A hotel, restaurant or route is on a page because it is useful to the person reading it, not because someone paid for it.
How hotels and bookings work
The hotel pages list properties from the IMPT hotel database, each placed on the map by its own coordinates. Every search box and every Find a stay button opens the IMPT booking platform with your place, dates and guests already filled in.
Rates and availability change by the minute, so the only reliable price is the one the booking platform shows when you search. You choose the room, pay and receive your confirmation there; changes and cancellations follow the terms shown for that rate. IMPT is the booking platform and the hotel confirms the stay.
One tonne of CO2 offset with every booking
IMPT is built around one idea: every booking made through it funds one tonne of verified CO2 offset, retired against a registered climate project, at no extra cost to the guest. The carbon pages of this site explain how it works.
