The location is veeery quite (if you are looking for a place away from the party zone)near the pier from the ferry and a couple of blocks away from the "downtown", we could walk to all the restaurants and activities which is great and there's a pool on the terrace, also a good thing. There are definitely many opportunities for improvement in the rooms, as some look neglected and old, while others are newer and renovated. Ours had a very small sink and the shower looked broken, staff was very kind and helpful.
It felt like a party hostel because its way too loud! You can hear the steps, doors closing, the whole conversation going on the hallways and people are so loud screaming, playing music and even playing guitar after 10pm. Its impossible to have a good night rest. We travel with a baby and regret it so much staying at this place. Its a pitty because the hotel has potential to be better.
They are a pleasant staff. No towels in the room. Said they would drop some off had to go down that evening. Mold on the wall and pee down the side of the toilet you can see it clearly down the side when taking a shower. No hand towel or a shower towel for floor. Plus the hand sop container was broke so they put it a glass dip your fingers in. Gross. A little gross step out of the shower and get sand right back on foot. The internet is not fast at all super slow. Hard as rocks the bed was. The island hotels were about half full if that. A loud place to stay with all the hollow core doors slamm…

El centro, junto al muelle del ferry, concentra los hoteles económicos, los restaurantes y el poco bullicio que hay. Hacia el poniente, rumbo a Punta Cocos, y hacia el oriente, rumbo a Punta Mosquito, la playa se abre y aparecen los hoteles boutique con hamacas sobre el agua — más caros y más silenciosos. Nuestros escaneos de 2026 registraron 47 hoteles con precio real: desde US$38 la noche y un precio típico del orden de US$92. Lo honesto: llegar toma su tiempo — dos horas y media desde Cancún más ferry —, los mosquitos y jejenes aparecen en cuanto llueve, casi todo se paga en efectivo y la isla, cuando se llena, tensa sus servicios. Ese es el precio del paraíso lento.
