Mayan Villas Hotel

The staff were amazingly friendly. They allowed us to check in around 11pm. They served us breakfast of toast and coffee in the room. The parking situation is pretty tight with not that many places. Also, the shower had blocked pipes which is common in Yucatan. But it meant there was only a tiny trickle of cold water to shower with.

Highly over priced! 46US$ for a room with an old noisy air-conditioning. The shower was only dripping. No WiFi reception in the room. The pool was full of leaves and dirty milky water. What they call a Breakfast, was one hard slice of bread with jam and coffee. I had to ask for butter and milk for the coffee. After 3 weeks traveling through Yucatan it was the most expensive and worst place I have stayed. THE STAFF WAS KIND AND HELPFUL. I appreciate that.

Very pleasant and attentive hosts. Comfortable room and bed in simple Mexican village. Fruit and coffee for breakfast included, prepared excellent fish dinner for reasonable price. Good option for those who prefer not to stay on the island and take ferry or tour from Chiquilla.
