Our experience at Posada del Hidalgo was mixed, but ultimately positive thanks to the staff’s kindness and willingness to make things right. When we arrived, there was an issue locating our online reservation. Thankfully, the front desk addressed it promptly and graciously upgraded us to a suite as a gesture of goodwill. The room itself was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the large bathroom. We have only been here for the Zorro Show and we cannot recommend it. You pay 200 Pesos p. P., but the ticket also functions as a voucher with which you can eat and drink there. However the food is extremely expensive (300 Pesos+) and not really good. My boyfriend hat the Octopus which was soaked in Garlic while the potato’s weren’t quite ready, I had the Shrimps which were okay but nothing special. Beautiful hotel, but the staff make it less than average. Our room had hair on the counter, floors and shower. No shampoo in the shower, only an almost empty pump of body wash was supplied. We had to ask twice for towels, none were left after the first night, it finally took a reception desk request at 9pm to get some. No bath mats were ever provided for the cold dirty floor. The sink only had hot water, the cold tap was shut off. The batteries in the remotes for the TV and A/C were dead.
