4.36327 reviewsThe hotel's interior design is truly beautiful. The ambiance of the arboretum and atrium areas lifts one's spirit. Courteous and professional staff. Room clean. Wifi good. Comfortable bed. The adjustable face mirror, with a magnification side, in the bathroom alcove was marvelous. Loved the open shelves in room instead of drawers, as this design prevents leaving things behind. There's a coffee maker, but neither a fridge nor a microwave. The lack of a fridge in a hotel room at this level is a real disappointment. I needed to use clothespins to close a gap in the window drapes for privacy. A lo…
The hotel feels vary dated, reminiscent of the 1980s, which created a somewhat depressing atmosphere. The carpets and furniture in my room also looked old. My room lacked an outside window, offering only a view of a dark, enclosed inner garden area. Additionally, the breakfast provided was no more than "decent". Based on my experience with the outdated facilities and furnishings, lack of natural light in the room, and merely decent breakfast, I was surprised and suspicious by the hotel's high rating on google maps.
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast could be better though!
Planning your trip to Toluca
Toluca is the capital's high-altitude neighbour: at 2,660 metres it is Mexico's coldest major city, and its hotels live off work — industrial parks, the State of Mexico government, and an airport that doubles as Mexico City's alternate. The executive hotels group along the airport-Metepec corridor; Metepec, with its pottery-town pueblo mágico, is in fact the most pleasant place to sleep. The Centro, around the arcades and the Cosmovitral stained-glass garden, offers simple rooms at fair prices. Our 2026 scans logged 22 hotels with a real price: from US$50 a night and a typical rate of about US$77, with weekends notably cheaper. Honestly: Toluca is a practical stop more than a destination — the prize is the Nevado de Toluca, whose crater lakes sit ninety minutes away, and the arcades: green chorizo and queue-free museums.
