Very noisy. I mean the purpose of an hotel is to let you sleep well. This purpose was has not been fulfilled. People were very noisy till around midnight. Then, around 2 am, the guy from the front desk was doing a WhatsApp video call during hours and was speaking very loudly. He even ignored my wife when she told him to be quiet because we couldn't sleep. Early in the morning, staff speaking loudly again, watching videos etc. And I could also mention, insects in the room, bed sheets so thin you can see through, the parking which is just a single alley (will be nice when you have cars parked be…
Don't go in this hotel if you want to sleep and rest. It was so noizy, other guests screaming and speaking very loudly till midnight. Then it was the reception guy who was doing a WhatsApp call from 1am to 3am and even with earplugs we couldn't sleep. I told him just to stop and be quiet and he didn't do anything. We stayed here as a step in our trip to have some rest because we drove 10 hours from Campeche the day. Now we are more exhausted. Then what to say : Bad insulation, inconfortable pillows, bad bed sheets, insects in the room, no towels .....
Planning your trip to Tuxtla
Tuxtla Gutiérrez is Chiapas's working capital and, for most travellers, the trip's first night: the state's main airport is here, and so is the mouth of the Sumidero Canyon. The executive hotels line Boulevard Belisario Domínguez to the west — the most comfortable zone — while the Centro, around the Parque de la Marimba, offers simple rooms with the best local evening scene: marimba plays free every night. Our 2026 scans logged 23 hotels with a real price: from US$30 a night and a typical rate of about US$49 — the cheapest of the 40 biggest cities in our dataset. Honestly: Tuxtla is hot, low-valley, and short on glamour; its role is logistics — Sumidero at dawn, Chiapa de Corzo at midday — before climbing to San Cristóbal, an hour up the highway.
