Selina Puerto Escondido

The hostel was a pretty good stay overall. Only con is that you really do need a moped or something to get around, it was kind of annoying that due to the location of the hostel we'd have to go all the way around (5-10ish minute ride) just to get back. Other than that the pools were amazing and great coworking space.

I had a bad experience, first of all, the bed was horrible I would rather sleep on the floor because of how hard the bed was. I would wake up every morning sore due to the bed. Pillows were also uncomfortable. We had only one really thin sheet and just the bed was awful. Second it was very annoying to get to the room, we stayed at the last floor and we had to go up 5 stories + to get to the room and no help to get luggage and we asked for a room ok the bottom level but nothing was available.

This Selina was across from Playa Z, where there was a good view from the 3rd floor. The layout of this hostel is very confusing, especially if you were looking for a particular room or event such as yoga or massage during your stay. They provided water jugs around the property so guests can refill their own bottles, which was a great concept if you don't mind the taste. I stayed for 2 nights in a private room with private bath. Every morning, I woke up to a bad sewer smell. The room itself was clean and had towels and soap. I asked for a hair dryer upon arrival and checked back every day. T…
