4.32957 reviewsI am currently here...I have taken the time to speak to many guests and the hotel staff, and I can tell you this in a positive way...you get what you pay for....meaning it's a 4.5 star so if you want 6 star then pay more. The staff and managers work and try hard. The food or selection may not be the best, but the place is affordable, conveniently located (mall and shops including Starbucks and a modern clean grocery store across the street), very clean, great views of the water....again if you want more than 4.5 stars then pay more for another resort. We had an amazing experience at Decameron. There are some notable features such as nice restaurants and bars, fun events, good facilities at beach and pools. Room condition is good. Although the facility is old, it is kept clean. There is nice patio. There are two restaurants, and both are great. El Mercado restaurant serves a variety of Mexican and American foods. Everything is tasty. Also, they operate long hours so very convenient, starting from morning, then serving in lunch, dinner and night snack, with a small close time between each operation. The pool was nice (although I wish it were open later than 7pm) and the staff were friendly. I feel like you get what you pay for here. It was inexpensive. It is pretty quiet, and the nightly entertainment was fun. Our AC started to fail the first night, and they got us into a new room quickly. We bought an excursion on site and had a great time. Drinks aren't real strong, but you can have as many as you want! The buffet was okay. The main restaurant was really disappointing. We went twice. I'm not so much of a food critic, but my husband is. He hated it. I thought it was meh.
