4.31558 reviewsI stayed 3 nights and greatly enjoyed it. The restaurant is convenient for my breakfast before heading out. Its a bit of a walk to the sights which is good exercise. The nice part is far less traffic then being near the square. The dollar value is very high and i will stay here again when i return. My room was clean and comfortable with a great shower. They also have a nice parking area and to round it out that staff was very friendly and helpful. My balcony was facing the street and i had no problem with noise and i enjoyed the view.
I almost don’t want to say anything because it’s such a treasure but if you’re looking for an affordable place (and if you know SMA, you know affordable isn’t the priority for most) this is it. Friendly staff, comfy accommodations. Slightly small rooms but for the price you need not complain and there is an incredible cafe on site and another absolutely delicious restaurant in the complex.
I stayed at the Hotel La Estacion one night. It was okay. It was fine. But that's really all I could say about it. It wasn't great, but it was fine. I kind of expected more for what I paid (990 pesos), but I suspect San Miguel is an expensive town. One hight point was the water pressure in the shower. It made me feel like I was in a hurricane. One low point was the air conditioning - come to think of it, it might have been just a fan. It took until the middle of the night to cool down the room.
