We stayed in the rooms along the mountain side view and we loved it! We spent about half and half of the time in and out of the hotel. We visited the neighbors restaurants. We definitely will come back!
Charming little (relatively) resort right on the beach. Nice, chill vibe with a mix of families, couples and snowbirds. The onsite construction is a bit annoying, but you’re not here to sit in your room ditto for terrible WiFi). I will say they should better protect against some of the work they are doing in public areas - sparks were flying in the lobby from some metal work! A few restaurants a short still away (Blada Yu!) as well as an Oxxo and big Chedraui supermarket. Poolside service was friendly and the rooms clean with strong A/C. Be extremely careful on what you book here. The pictures of the rooms in the booking website are not what you are getting. If it says “Mountain View” that just means you are going to be looking at the parking lot or construction. They have like 3 different categories of rooms and when you get to the hotel, they will give you an old room and then tell you that if you want the room in the picture of your booking that you need to pay to upgrade. La Crucecita is the town — simple hotels, the market, taquerías — 10 minutes from the bays and home to the best prices. Santa Cruz has the pier, the marina and a friendly town beach; Chahué sits between, quiet and growing. Our 2026 scans logged 37 hotels with a real price: from US$40 a night and a typical rate of about US$93 — markedly cheaper than the Caribbean's big resorts or Los Cabos. Honestly: nightlife is short here and the loveliest beaches are earned by boat or dirt track; you come to Huatulco to slow down.
