When is Zapopan cheapest?
At weekends, like every executive district: the business hotels release Friday-to-Sunday rates. The Romería of the Virgin of Zapopan on 12 October floods the centre — millions of pilgrims — so book around it. The rainy summer is the soft season.
How do I get from the airport?
Guadalajara's airport sits at the far end of the metro area: allow 40-60 minutes to Andares depending on traffic, about MX$450-650 by taxi or a little less by app. Light-rail line 3 links central Zapopan with central Guadalajara if you travel light.
