This was our 3rd stay at BW and will not be our last. Pool is also very good although not much shade in the afternoon but we were there for sun so we loved it.
We have eaten at the restaurant five or six times in our two years in Huatulco and, unfortunately, every time has been a little worse than the time before. We will not be going back. They used to have a fairly decent vegan burger but they don’t understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian and it came with mayo. The last time I ordered the burger it was a slab of uncooked tetra pack tofu in a bun. Laughable but I ate it. Now they have no specifically vegan items on the menu and when I asked about vegetarian items they were out of everything. They did run over to Chedraui to buy vegeta…
Great breakfast buffet with plenty of options. Omelettes made to order, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, breakfast danish, Pan de dulce. Other options included rotating local Mexican traditional options such as pozole, chilaquiles, sopes, dorados, fresh tortillas, beans and rice. Plenty of coffee options. Each worker at the hotel was a real pleasure to interact with.... The staff was helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked great in 95 degrees.

La Crucecita is the town — simple hotels, the market, taquerías — 10 minutes from the bays and home to the best prices. Santa Cruz has the pier, the marina and a friendly town beach; Chahué sits between, quiet and growing. Our 2026 scans logged 37 hotels with a real price: from US$40 a night and a typical rate of about US$93 — markedly cheaper than the Caribbean's big resorts or Los Cabos. Honestly: nightlife is short here and the loveliest beaches are earned by boat or dirt track; you come to Huatulco to slow down.
