Beds are very firm, no mini fridge or micro in room. The restaurant has a terrible time cooking a basic cheeseburger. Sent it back to the kitchen 3 times before it was finally cooked. Then, took nearly a half hour to process the bill so we could leave. BUT, this courtyard hotel is 100% better than the other courtyard not far from here.
A centrally located hotel in a safe location next to many big businesses and several good restaurants. The rooms are of decent quality. Breakfast at the restaurant is good and the service is quick and outstanding. There's a Argentinian steakhouse attached to the hotel building, so dinner is not a problem. The hotel itself has it's own restaurant "Bistro" which is a more reasonable option for those on a budget. I would return to this hotel if visiting To…
Planning your trip to Toluca
Toluca is the capital's high-altitude neighbour: at 2,660 metres it is Mexico's coldest major city, and its hotels live off work — industrial parks, the State of Mexico government, and an airport that doubles as Mexico City's alternate. The executive hotels group along the airport-Metepec corridor; Metepec, with its pottery-town pueblo mágico, is in fact the most pleasant place to sleep. The Centro, around the arcades and the Cosmovitral stained-glass garden, offers simple rooms at fair prices. Our 2026 scans logged 22 hotels with a real price: from US$50 a night and a typical rate of about US$77, with weekends notably cheaper. Honestly: Toluca is a practical stop more than a destination — the prize is the Nevado de Toluca, whose crater lakes sit ninety minutes away, and the arcades: green chorizo and queue-free museums.
