The layout of the resort is very nice, so that most rooms have an ocean view and a view of all of the pools in the property. I like that compared to other big resorts in the area, this was walkable and I had access to all of the amenities in the area readily accessible without having to walk a super long way or having to use a golf cart. I brought my mom and 2 children ages 6 and 11 here for their birthdays. This resort was absolutely incredible in almost every way. The service from most of the staff was outstanding. The breakfast and lunch buffets were to die for(i definitely gained some weight) the drinks were outstanding. The entertainment and shows at night were incredible and enjoyable for adults and children. Our bellboy Diego was AMAZING, professional and very polite always checking on us when he saw us around. First off the road conditions leading to the resort are true, they are very bumpy but not the resort's fault. Staff and service of very friendly and efficient upon arrival along with a smooth and easy check-in. Resort upon our check-in seem to be about maybe up to half full for the resort. The staff throughout the entire Resort are very friendly, helpful and their to make your stay more enjoyable. The port side — leaning lighthouse, pier — keeps small hotels steps from a calm beach and the protected reef, 500 metres offshore. The colonia, across the highway and 2 kilometres inland, carries the low prices. And north and south of town stretch the big all-inclusive resorts that explain why our dataset's typical rate climbs to US$233, though rooms start at US$32. In all we logged 25 hotels with a real price in 2026. Honestly: the town is small and quiet by design — short nights, restaurants that close early — and sargassum visits these beaches from May to October, as it does the whole Caribbean coast.
