4.51379 reviewsThe things I liked: the pool, the king bed, the included breakfast of eggs your way plus a small plate of fruit, daily room cleaning, the 24 hour helpful reception and the proximity to Playa Santa Cruz. Our room did not face the pool which was great for noise reduction but the WiFi was VERY slow and frustrating most of the time. As other reviews mentioned you only get one small bottle of water per person per day. There was no hair dryer in our room. And one side of the bed did not have a nightstand or plugs. We stayed here for a few nights on our trip and we absolutely loved it! The price was so good, the rooms were sparkling clean and very comfortable, and the pool was very well maintained and refreshing. It's right on a main road but the hotel is designed so well that there is little to no noise at all. 15 minutes walk downtown, 10 minutes to Chahue beach. Great location. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, especially Carlos and Kevin who went out of their way to help us in every situation! I can't say enough good things about these two lovely people. Huatulco is Oaxaca's planned coast: nine bays, dozens of beaches, and a development that left more jungle than concrete. The zones divide cleanly. Tangolunda is the bay of the big resorts, many all-inclusive, on their own beach. La Crucecita is the town — simple hotels, the market, taquerías — 10 minutes from the bays and home to the best prices. Santa Cruz has the pier, the marina and a friendly town beach; Chahué sits between, quiet and growing. Our 2026 scans logged 37 hotels with a real price: from US$40 a night and a typical rate of about US$93 — markedly cheaper than the Caribbean's big resorts or Los Cabos. Honestly: nightlife is short here and the loveliest beaches are earned by boat or dirt track; you come to Huatulco to slow down.
